Hey there awesome internet besties! Today I wanted to share with you everything you need to succeed in the kitchen this Thanksgiving.
Now, let me just say that these are affiliate links and if you purchase these items (or anything else that you might need) from Amazon I get a percentage of the sale at no additional cost to you – which is awesome! But, I really do think these (or similar) products are awesome and things you should have in your kitchen. Also, I have tried to include splurge and steal price points for items as well. So, whether you buy, beg, borrow,
or steal them, I still highly recommend them! Let’s get started:
First off, turkey roasters
Essential if you plan on, you know, roasting a turkey!
Splurge Item: This All-Clad, nonstick, dishwasher safe roaster 😲
If you’re going to splurge on any item on this list for your 2020 Thanksgiving kitchen, I recommend this be The One.
If $80 is out of your price range, no worries! I have this roaster that is a steal at $22 🥳
Next up – casserole dishes
Alright. Splurge Items: I’m a sucker for anything Mud Pie. I 💖 it so, so much. Here are some of my favorites:
This cute gravy boat! Mud Pie Circa Awesome Sauce, 2 Piece Set
This perfect mashed potato bowl: Mud Pie Farmhouse Serving Bowl, White
This sweet little dish has the word ‘thankful’ on it, so its perfect for Thanksgiving: Mud Pie Thanksgiving Baker Casserole Dish, One Size, White
A set of two baking dishes: Mud Pie Farmhouse Inspired Set of 2 Serving Spoon Baking Dish Set, One Size, White
This dish is perfect for sweet potato casserole: Mud Pie Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Baker Set Casserole Dish, One Size, White
But, if cuteness and dish-specific pans are not for you don’t worry! I get it. I still recommend white casserole dishes because you can use them for just about everything.
OK, I know what you might be thinking, “$100 is NOT a steal!“, but you get 20 pieces with it! And I love that it comes with plastic lids so you can just cover and store your leftovers without having to create more dishes.
Splurge Item: I think this white-on-white platter is so pretty
Steal Item: But, if you’re looking for something a little more all-purpose (i.e. not turkey specific) then I like this platter
Ok, we’ve got serving dishes and of course, the all-important turkey roaster figured out. Next-up you will need ways to cook all your delicious Thanksgiving food! For kitchens (like mine!) with only one oven your lifesaver will be slow cookers.
This is the splurgiest of all my splurge items – sooooo maybe a Christmas gift to yourself? But y’all. This slow cooker does everything. It sears, sautés, roasts, bakes, makes yogurt, and I think you can even get it to clean your kitchen for you 🤷🏻♀️
Pots and Pans
This is our pot and pan set that I use on the reg. I love them – super non-stick and amazing. My mom has a caphalon set that she got when she and my dad were first married that is still going strong. Definitely a great investment!
No splurge or steal items for this one – just a great deal!
For wooden utensils, I like teak wood the best – super sturdy! Wooden Spoons for Cooking Set by AceProd – Natural Teak Wooden Cooking Utensils – Non-Stick Wooden Spoon Sets for Cooking – Handmade Wooden Cooking Spoons – Wood Kitchen Utensil Set 8 Pcs
Spatulas are always a must have: Norpro 3 Piece Plastic Spatula Set, One Size, White
Measuring cups – you can never have enough! Measuring Cups & Spoons Set of 16 – Wildone Premium Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Measuring Spoons with Colored Silicone Handle, including 8 Nesting Cups, 8 Spoons, for Dry and Liquid Ingredient
Liquid measuring cups – I like Pyrex because you can use hot or cold ingredients and you can melt butter/chocolate chips in the microwave in them too! Pyrex Glass Measuring Cup Set (3-Piece, Microwave and Oven Safe),Clear
China and Dishes
Now, my favorite part – the china. Y’all. I love dishes and china. I want a separate, special set of dishes for each event, holiday, or celebration. We have dishes that we use for breakfast/lunch and then a separate set for dinner. IDK why – it just seems nice? Or pretentious? Or maybe I’m just obsessed.
I like to do my Thanksgiving tablescape in gold. So pretty and perfect for the cozy, warm reds, oranges, and creams of fall!
Thanksgiving Table Decor
Lastly, you’ll want your table to be be-A-utiful. Don’t worry, I’ve got ya covered!
